Correct Care Solutions Regional Clinical Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia
Our Regional Clinical Specialist is responsible for providing direct patient care, educating and training activities and assisting with continuing quality improvement (CQI) projects, PEER review preparation and completion within the assigned region and as directed by the RMD.
- Successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- At least three years of direct patient care experience, with at least one year in a correctional institution preferred.
- Must have an unrestricted license to practice as NP/PA in the States within assigned region. CCHP certification preferred.
Provides direct patient care. Patient care will be provided through on site care and/or by telemedicine services, as assigned by RMD in coordination with Operations.
Assists in the development of the clinical skills of the site medical staff.
Works with the site staff in the development, implementation, training and monitoring of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program, as needed.
Assists in the deployment of clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Conducts practitioner onboarding, as assigned.
Assists the RMD and SMD in monitoring the use of pharmaceutical products to provide appropriate and cost-effective therapy for the population served by CCS.
Assists in the peer review process at the site level to assess the clinical services of licensed healthcare practitioners, as assigned. Will assist in preparation for physician PEER review material and metrics. Will complete PEER review for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
Participates in on-call, back up, and rotating call schedule as needed.
Participates in facility meetings as assigned.
Submits reports as required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.
Perform other duties as assigned.
