Correct Care Solutions Business Manager in Centralia, Washington

Overview

Our Business Manager develops, implements, maintains, and coordinates the business office and related operational policies and procedures, including but not limited to budget, financial reporting, accounts payable, purchasing, billing, payroll, inventories, IT and food service. The Business Manager has lead responsibility of facilitating collaboration with Corporate and internal senior management groups to insure the financial performance and budget priorities of the facility.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration from an accredited college or university required

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of experience in a responsible financial position involving budget preparation and control and/or administration of government contracts, two (2) years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity

  • A masters degree in business or public administration may substitute for one year of the required non-supervisory experience

Licenses/Certifications:

  • None required

Responsibilities

  1. Plans, coordinates, communicates, and oversees the delivery of business related functions on a daily basis by applying facility and corporate business management policies and generally accepted accounting principles.

  2. Develops the facility's annual budget and interim forecasts within corporate guidelines.

  3. Responsible for monthly financial reporting and variance analysis.

  4. Responsible for revenue/expense analysis in conjunction with client proposals.

  5. Responsible for complex billing to multiple clients.

  6. Takes initiative and responsibility and pride in generating business solutions through the service the department provides. Provides leadership on Performance Indicators.

  7. Provides direct supervision and directs service delivery by applying basic skills to the management of the facility and motivation of staff within corporate guidelines.

  8. Maintains compliance with all governing bodies, including but not limited to: the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), The Joint Commission (TJC), etc. as they relate to the business office policies and procedures.

  9. Continues professional development through in-service education, workshops, conferences, corporate training, revision of policies and procedures applicable to the position and as they are updated.

  10. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.

  11. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.

  12. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.

  13. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.

  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
