Correct Care Solutions Security Operations Director in Deerfield Beach, Florida
Our Security Operations Director is responsible for the planning, direction, and coordination of the CCRS safety and security program at all CCRS facilities; ensuring that all company, state, local, federal, and regulatory policies, procedures, rules, regulations, ordinances, and related are strictly and consistently implemented and enforced; participating in the formulation of goals and objectives of safety and security procedures and programs that comply with federal, state, and local regulations; creating, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive guidelines and protocols for the operation of the safety and security teams at all CCRS facilities; and establishing and maintaining relationships with city, state, and government security organizations to ensure effective communication, coordination, and compliance with safety and security issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or related field with ten (10) years of experience in correctional, security, or related work. Education and progressive work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree at management’s discretion.
Eight (8) years of experience of management experience is required.
Ability to handle a variety of tasks that are routine in nature, while keeping work flowing in an orderly manner.
Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Ability to express thoughts logically, in English, in both written and verbal form.
Ability to use computers and the typical software such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and various database systems.

Provides guidance and direction to facility management staff in the operation of safe and secure correctional facilities while maintaining profit and loss responsibility.
Provides recommendations and guidance to all programs to ensure the vision for safety and security remains part of all facility activities and processes.
Utilizes a participative proactive approach to the oversight of the safety and security department staff and the ensures secure custody and control practices across all facilities.
Manages the Ethics, Professional and Responsibilities (EPR) Program and oversees or carries out investigations of any incidents or alleged incidents of improper and/or criminal behavior on the part of residents/detainees and non-staff visitors.Utilizes business acumen and innovation to develop strategies and pursue process improvements while balancing the drive toward increasing profits with the need to maintain safe and secure facilities.
Maintains an active, strong client relations program frequently visiting facilities and clients, as necessary, to discuss the state of the safety and security activities.
Creates, implements, and maintains a comprehensive set of safety and security related policies, procedures, and post orders to regulate the safety and security measures that are in effect throughout the facility, its secure compound, during off-site transports, and off-site security post assignments.
Ensures that training and screening as required by the facility safety and security program have been met.
Serves as the subject matter expert on matters relating to safety and security for the executive and senior management teams.
Oversees company responsibilities related to federal firearm, federal communications commission, and other required state and federal programs certifications or licenses to maintain compliance.
Reviews security related discrepancies, malfunctions, safety hazards, and security breaches throughout the division and ensures corrective action is taken on a timely basis.
Coordinates internal preparation and post-audit response for external safety audits.
Coordinates all emergency responses with facility personnel to include weather emergencies, natural disasters and facility emergencies such as work stoppage or riots.
Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
