Correct Care Solutions Payroll Analyst in Nashville, Tennessee

Overview

Our Payroll Analyst is responsible for analyzing payroll related data within payroll systems, analyzing various payroll vendor credits and debits and reconciling payroll information. Performs periodic internal audits of payroll database, processes, and procedures to ensure payroll information is accurate. This position is also responsible for overseeing an assigned caseload of locations/contracts, maintaining employee records, and processing payroll in the payroll database.

Qualifications

Education:

  • College degree or related payroll/accounting experience

Experience:

  • Three to five years of experience processing payroll required.

  • Working knowledge of KRONOS time-keeper and ADP-Reporting software preferred.

  • Experience with report writing tools

  • None

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure bi-weekly payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner, on both the odd and even pay cycles.

  2. Reviews computed wages on preview, and correct errors to ensure the accuracy of earnings. Ensure that all changes to payroll are processed correctly

  3. Analyzes payroll related data to ensure integrity of system and payroll processes

  4. Process employee garnishments, wage attachments, levies, and child support orders for CCS employees on the assigned caseload

  5. Review and audit master file and pay data entries, YTD totals, and file amendments

  6. Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters

  7. Reconciles manual check logs and provides metrics on manual check issues

  8. Creates and maintains ad-hoc reports within payroll system

  9. Analyzes credits and debits against payroll summaries and auditing various payroll related information within Payroll system

  10. Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential

  11. Works closely with Human Resources and Accounting on all payroll related issues

  12. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.

  13. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.

  14. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.

  15. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.

  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
