Overview

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Workers’ Compensation Team.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • College degree preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience as an administrative assistant in Human Resources, workers compensation or related field

  • Highly skilled in MS Word, Power Point, and Outlook with the ability to multitask daily

  • Proficiency in Excel, Adobe Professional, and SharePoint

  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills required

Licenses/Certifications:

  • None required

Responsibilities

  1. Provides administrative support to Workers’ Compensation Team for workers’ compensation claims and related tasks including but not limited to file management and organization, provider notification and follow up, reporting, maintenance of risk Management information system, preparation of workers’ compensation forms and provider panels, and document and SharePoint updates.

  2. Performs department business while maintaining strict confidentiality.

  3. Maintains positive attitude and demonstrate ability to be flexible in a rapid changing business environment.

  4. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

  5. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.

  6. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.

  7. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.

  8. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.

  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
