Correct Care Solutions Continuous Quality Improvement Coordinator, MADOC in Westborough, Massachusetts

Overview

Our Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Coordinator participates in all CQI efforts across the Massachusetts Department of Corrections system, ensuring systematic and ongoing CQI processes consistent with National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) guidelines for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the quality and appropriateness of medical, dental, and mental health care, including sex offender treatment services, provided to inmates.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, Baccalaureate degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in quality improvement, performance improvement, regulatory risk, or related in a hospital and/or correctional, psychiatric, forensic, sexual offender, recovery treatment facility.

  • Correctional healthcare experience highly desired.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current RN license.

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) designation preferred.

  • Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  1. Participates in the critical analysis of clinical outcome measures, while working closely with CCS leadership and informatics staff to develop additional performance measures, identify current or potential system-wide or individual issues or trends, establish priorities, initiate effective problem-solving, and develop improvement plans.

  2. Designs, schedules, and conducts comprehensive quality review audits as appropriate; maintains documents and records of all activities performed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; coordinates and generates the development of various reports regarding program performance against quality indicators.

  3. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for committee meetings and leadership as required.

  4. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.

  5. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.

  6. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.

  7. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.

  8. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.

  9. Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.

  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
